Hi dearest artists. An idea for something we could work up to at Wednesday’s drawing in the park. A vigorous, fearless chiaroscuro drawing, starting with a toned paper, then shaping the light negatives with the eraser, and developing things further with some closer observations of contours, composition, middle values, etc. This drawing was changed around a LOT and the paper, way to soft to start with, was shredding away in rolls by the time I got to this point. Perhaps not beautiful, but so much fun, and pleasingly messy…
